Do Now 9/29

An editorial blog is one in which the author gives his opinion about a specific topic he is working on. Wikipedia is not used as a primary source. Many people use it to start off their research information. Wikipedia is used by over 500 million users every month. Wikipedia as exploded in popularity since it first was created in 2001. Wikipedia was also known for its misinformation.

For school research papers and projects I have never been allowed to use Wikipedia. My teachers do not allow it because they say that most of the information is wrong which i do not agree with They believe that the information on Wikipedia is wrong or incorrect because other people can edit it whenever they want .

Normally, when the kids in my class are as confused as I am about not being able to use Wikipedia, they ask. And every time I here the same answer. They either say "It is not a very trusted source," or "People can edit it whenever they want and put the wrong information purposely." After reading this article, I have learned that Wikipedia isn't always a bad thing. I will use for when i need quick facts and details.

Water found on Neptune-sized planet 124 light-years from Earth

The discovery of water vapor in the atmosphere of the new planet opens up information about the formation of planets and the possibility of life outside our solar system. About 124 light years away from Earth a Neptune sized planet has been discovered. It is about four times the size of Earth. It was first discovered in January of 2009 in the constellation Cyngus. It is the only planet to be found outside of our solar system that is smaller than Jupiter.

Web 2.0: Multimedia Blog Pre-Posting

 Web 2.0: Multimedia Blog Pre-Posting

My teacher's name in Geometry Honors is Ms. Ames. She teaches math for all high-school levels. When I was first sitting in this class on the first day of school, I was thinking that I would be learning about shapes and geometrical figures. So far in this two weeks of school I've learned about lines, planes, and we are now starting on angles.

My teacher's grading policy is a very reasonable one. Ms. Ames made it so that 40% of our grade went towards projects. She also made 40% of it go towards tests and formal assessments. Finally the last 20% of our grade is split up between homework and informal assessments. As long as I do well on classwork and keep my homework

In Geometry, so far nothing has really been that challenging. I have friends in the class so that is also the upside of this class. I do not believe that we are going on any class trips at the moment. Math is one of my best subjects and I hope it can stay that way. In this class we use the overhead projector to show the work on the board to make it easier for everyone.

  • The original iPod music player debuted 13 years ago, in October 2001.
  • It remained one of the central products over the years.
  • As apple moves onto larger screen smartphones, the iPod is becoming more and more useless.
  • Apple bid farewell to the sixth generation iPod for 54.83 million dollars
  • The first iPod which debuted in 2007 was the device that really left the classic iPod in the dust.
  • This device were the footprints to the devices that we have now.
