Boom Burger

The restaurant I am choosing is Boom Burger. Boom Burger is located on Route 17 right near Ramapo College. The Exact address is 180 Route 17 South, Mahwah, NJ 07430. This restaurant named itself after its specialty burger. The Boom Burger, which is a cheeseburger, except the only difference is that the cheese is inside the patty. The Boom Burger is definitely  the most popular item on their menu.

This restaurant sells mostly burgers and fries, but they have other popular items such as chicken fingers, buffalo wings, and mozzarella sticks Their menu has a wide variety of different foods and drinks which is a good thing. You don't want to go to a restaurant that only sells one type of item: although it may be very delicious.

I chose Boom Burger because the food that they make is very creative. My favorite dish from this restaurant is obviously the Boom Burger. I cannot get over how not just delicious, but also how creative they were with making this cheeseburger. When you take a bite, cheese oozes out of every side.

If this restaurant were to close: which hopefully never happens, I would probably switch over to Five Guys Burger and Fries. I have tried there burgers before and it isn't everyday where you can eat a burger like that. Although nothing can match the Boom Burger. Boom Burger is also a great place for dancing and other fun activities.

Do Now 12/15

Gandhi
Something that ignites me to do good for the community is watching professional athletes give back to the community. NBA players, for example, help rebuild ruined communities and take part in many different activities involving society issues. My life goal is to make it into the NBA. If this dream comes true then, I will as well give back to the community and be as active as possible with society. Most people only care about themselves, and just watch as the environment slowly deteriorates and falls apart.

Do Now 12/3/14

If I were a teacher, a class that I would add to the school curriculum would be Critical Thinking. Most kids in the current world are very lazy when it comes to school. In this class the students would have to take their time reading a passage and then writing a response to it. After the response have been finished the students will revise their answers with a partner.

I would give the students a project where the had to read a novel and answer questions on it after. Everyday for homework would be reading short stories and questions on those. Critical Thinking is a very important skill when it comes to school and not many students have perfected, or even become decent at this.

Pricey M4 advances BMW's legendary sports performance

Good
BMW M4 offers large tap power on the engine that can run all day above 5,000 rpm. The handling of the vehicle is very precise. The navigation system online searches can easily tell you where detours are on upcoming roads and highways.

Bad
Since it is well over 60 grand, it has many tough competitors. The fixed suspension of the car makes it awkward for some people to drive it.

This vehicle is great for driving on back roads, and racing it on the track will look very nice. But it is not a car meant to be comfortable for daily transportation.

Wiki Research

  1. How can a wiki be used in a current class on your schedule (not this course)? Pick a class and be specific how the class could create and use a Wiki on a regular basis (tip: Use the Internet, here is a good source).
  2. What are the benefits of using a wiki in class
  3. How can we create a wiki in this class, what would we contribute to it and how would we utilize it on an on-going basis?
  4. What experience do you have using or creating wikis?

    1. Our world history class could use a wiki to collaborate on the work we are currently doing. One of my classes that uses wiki currently is Geometry. In Geometry our teacher has us post reasoning's on this one website. Everyone can see everyone else's posts and if you need help you can view someone else's.

    2. The benefits are that you can view other's additions if you are having trouble, and you can as well help others who are in need of help.

    3. In this class we could create a wiki to contain all the information needed to complete the assignments we have in this class. All student will be able to get the information that they need

    4. I used wikis two years ago when I was in this class the last time.

Kuna's porch-light cam helps you get proactive with safety

kunaapp-vector.pngThe Kuna's Light Fixture is a new porch light that was just released recently. They want to take the invention one step farther and add a weatherproof camera to it. According to Kuna 72% of robberies occur when no one is home. With the camera, if there is someone within radius of it it will send you a push notification to mobile devices of your choice and you can get a chance to view the camera from wherever you are. You can sound an alarm, talk to them, play recording, and turn the light on which would most likely scare the robber away with your mobile device.

This picture was taken at the event yesterday.
Apple has created something called WatchKit, which will help to make apps on the Apple Smartwatch, which should be coming around Spring of 2015. The WatchKit will be launched in November of this year. Even though this is going to greatly help the developers create apps for the new Apple watch, it will not be a "game changer," said some developers.

Do Now 9/29

An editorial blog is one in which the author gives his opinion about a specific topic he is working on. Wikipedia is not used as a primary source. Many people use it to start off their research information. Wikipedia is used by over 500 million users every month. Wikipedia as exploded in popularity since it first was created in 2001. Wikipedia was also known for its misinformation.

For school research papers and projects I have never been allowed to use Wikipedia. My teachers do not allow it because they say that most of the information is wrong which i do not agree with They believe that the information on Wikipedia is wrong or incorrect because other people can edit it whenever they want .

Normally, when the kids in my class are as confused as I am about not being able to use Wikipedia, they ask. And every time I here the same answer. They either say "It is not a very trusted source," or "People can edit it whenever they want and put the wrong information purposely." After reading this article, I have learned that Wikipedia isn't always a bad thing. I will use for when i need quick facts and details.

Water found on Neptune-sized planet 124 light-years from Earth

The discovery of water vapor in the atmosphere of the new planet opens up information about the formation of planets and the possibility of life outside our solar system. About 124 light years away from Earth a Neptune sized planet has been discovered. It is about four times the size of Earth. It was first discovered in January of 2009 in the constellation Cyngus. It is the only planet to be found outside of our solar system that is smaller than Jupiter.

Web 2.0: Multimedia Blog Pre-Posting

 Web 2.0: Multimedia Blog Pre-Posting

My teacher's name in Geometry Honors is Ms. Ames. She teaches math for all high-school levels. When I was first sitting in this class on the first day of school, I was thinking that I would be learning about shapes and geometrical figures. So far in this two weeks of school I've learned about lines, planes, and we are now starting on angles.

My teacher's grading policy is a very reasonable one. Ms. Ames made it so that 40% of our grade went towards projects. She also made 40% of it go towards tests and formal assessments. Finally the last 20% of our grade is split up between homework and informal assessments. As long as I do well on classwork and keep my homework

In Geometry, so far nothing has really been that challenging. I have friends in the class so that is also the upside of this class. I do not believe that we are going on any class trips at the moment. Math is one of my best subjects and I hope it can stay that way. In this class we use the overhead projector to show the work on the board to make it easier for everyone.

Apple says a silent goodbye to iPod classic

  • The original iPod music player debuted 13 years ago, in October 2001.
  • It remained one of the central products over the years.
  • As apple moves onto larger screen smartphones, the iPod is becoming more and more useless.
  • Apple bid farewell to the sixth generation iPod for 54.83 million dollars
  • The first iPod which debuted in 2007 was the device that really left the classic iPod in the dust.
  • This device were the footprints to the devices that we have now.
