Garmin Vivomove Mixes Fasion and Fitness

Normally, fitness watches are very bulky and not very fashionable. The Vivomove is an analog watch with a full year of battery life and support for interchangeable bands, compatible with any 20mm band on the market. It can also track things like steps and sleep, and will remind you to remain active with move alerts throughout the day. Like all of Garmin's devices, the watch is waterproof down to 165 feet so you can swim and shower with it.

New AutoDietary Necklace could Help you Lose Weight

Computer scientist from the University of Buffalo, Wenyao Xu developed a necklace called AutoDietary. It uses a small microphone to listen to the sounds of chewing. Those sounds are matched up to an audio library through a smartphone app. "Each food, as it's chewed, has its own voice," Xu said.

Xu conducted a small study using 12 participants. They were each given water, apples, carrots, cookies, peanuts, walnuts and potato chips. The necklace was able to determine the right food 85 percent of the time.

Pay up or else: Ransomware is the hot hacking trend of 2016

Hackers struck Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center last month. They encrypted files critical to running the hospital's systems. And then they asked for money.
After three weeks of operating without crucial computer programs, the Los Angeles hospital paid a $17,000 ransom to restore its systems.
To avoid this you should always back up your files and if this happens to you the best thing to do is pay up.

Holiday Break Do Now 1/5

Over the holiday break was mostly hanging out with friends and basketball. Just like always we had either basketball practice or a game almost everyday. Basketball practice is normally in the evening during the week. Our basketball team also won the Christmas Tournament in our own gym. Whenever I wasn't playing basketball I was hanging out with my friends.

But of course this holiday break was for Christmas. On Christmas Eve I went to my Aunts house for a family party. For Christmas I received mostly money. That is fine by me because I did not even ask for anything. Dinner was also something I enjoyed each and every night. If I didn't go to a restaurant then my mother made a very delicious meal. Five guys was my favorite dinner I had this break.
